Job Description
To support our growth plans in Italy, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. The role is responsible for detecting new business opportunities and acquiring new customers, contributing to further growth of the business.
Co‑define the business development strategy with the Commercial Director.
Translate this strategy into a go‑to‑market plan and implement the necessary sales actions.
Expand your network, create awareness, interest and trust by organising direct sales actions (cold calling, prospection) and by being actively present at fairs, seminars and events.
Cooperate with the tender team to produce a strong value proposition for potential customers.
Connect with the C‑level of potential customers, convince them and turn them into new customers.
Work closely with the European Business Development colleagues; spend most of your time at Rivalta, Italy, meeting leads, prospects and potential customers.
Your profile
Prospecting and networking are your second nature – you are a true hunter who derives satisfaction from initiating conversations and building relationships.
You work independently and can implement the defined go‑to‑market plan.
You focus daily on connecting and following up with leads and prospects to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and can develop relationships at C‑level.
You have a minimum of 5 years of business development experience in a B2B function, ideally within the logistics sector.
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written Italian and English.
Willing to travel at a frequent base (15‑20%).
Master’s degree.
