OverviewBusiness Development Manager, Europe South. This role is part of the commercial sales team located in Europe and will be fully remote, responsible for the Southern Europe region comprising Spain, Portugal & Italy. You will be part of the Cell and Gene Therapy Team and report to the Sales Manager - Europe, identifying, developing, managing and retaining revenue-generating opportunities for the organization through the strategic and tactical sales and support of all product and service lines.At Aldevron, we shape the future of medicine by advancing science in meaningful ways. This position is one of 10 Life Sciences companies of Danaher.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the acceleration of discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, prospect and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic and government organizations in the assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and yearly KPIs and revenue goals.Manage opportunity and sales pipeline data in CRM and provide accurate forecasts to reveal new revenue opportunities and project revenue for the quarter and year.Understand clients’ visions and organizational structure; communicate feedback to Product Management and Operations to improve the client experience with current and future products and services.Deliver presentations on the complete offering at the highest levels within client organizations.Develop territory and business development plans and adjust sales strategies to grow revenue in the assigned region.QualificationsUniversity degree in Biotechnology or Biology, or several years of client-facing sales experience in the cell and gene therapy industry in the absence of a degree.5 years of sales experience.Broad technical understanding in molecular and cell biology, including biotherapeutics such as nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, etc.Demonstrated experience in developing territory and business development plans that expand business and generate incremental revenue with new clients.Willingness and ability to travel across the geographic area of responsibility, including USA for yearly meetings and trainings when necessary.Fluent in English; Spanish and Italian fluency is an advantage.Knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements for the region is a plus.Remote and work arrangementThe company supports flexible, remote working arrangements for eligible roles.
