We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our expansion efforts in Europe.ResponsibilitiesRole : As an European Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Molex in the European market. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, as well as with cross-groups, you will be required to develop and execute strategic business plans to expand our market presence and increase sales within our Industrial Accounts.Collaborate with Sales Europe, responsible for Industrial Accounts, in the selling and promotion of Molex Solutions in target market segments, participating in multi-location account development activities and meetings when required. Travel around Europe is mandatory when developing new and strategic business and / or supporting Sales Europe in opportunity execution.Track trends and dependencies in the industry / market segments that impact primary sources of sales / revenues in the assigned region. Identify and monitor competitor presence, and their developments / position, in the assigned region and target accounts.Explore eligible business expansion (e.g. identify complementary third-party products / solutions or new and unexplored market opportunities), which is additive to the existing business (i.e. contribution margin in key accounts) or would contribute to overall growth projections for the assigned region.ExpectationsUse Economic Thinking and Principle Based Management when developing new business for the DSS Division / Industrial Solutions Business Unit, leveraging your comparative advantage in team collaboration and opportunity execution.Align AC (Automation Connectivity), IC (Industrial Communication), and E&P (Electrical & Power) Product Management with customer expectations, enabling the Industrial Business Unit to strategically develop and publish a Product Roadmap, which meets customer expectations and user requirements.Align customers with Molex overall capabilities, optimizing our strengths / expertise, whilst also positioning Molex as a preferred supplier.Prepare and present regular detailed reports, market insights and forecasts to guide strategic decision making by the management team.Knowledge share with colleagues and peers to increase Molex competitive advantage.Market intelligence gathering to guide strategic decision making by the management team.Qualifications (What You Are)QualificationsElectro-Mech higher educationAdvanced written and oral English communication skillsExperience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the connectivity, telecommunications, or technology sector.A good understanding Industrial Automation solutionsIndustrial market knowledge (technology and industry trends)Experience in dealing directly with OEMs and End-usersTeam player with strong networking skills and the ability to share knowledgeExperience in dealing directly with Distribution Channel PartnersWhat Will Put You AheadIndustrial Automation knowledge / backgroundAutomotive / Robotic Market Segment knowledge / backgroundMachine / Line Builder and System Integrator knowledge / backgroundCommercial Vehicle knowledge / backgroundAny other knowledge about connectivity, automation or system architectureWho We AreAs a Koch company, Molex is a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect components, driving innovation in electronics and supporting industries from automotive to health care and consumer to data communications.
