Family owned and run, we share family values; we care about you, each other and what we do.Position SummaryAs a key member of the Global Transport Team reporting to the Transport Business Manager - Europe and Emerging Markets, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for Business Development and the profitability of the key account business and projects across Italy. The role also includes responding to leads and enquiries from the French market, and supporting other Western European markets as needed.Develop and implement a strategic direction and expand all our bus and coach business opportunities.Maintain a positive profile in the regional bus industry that promotes Altro’s brand through association.Support Bus Operators, OEMs, and other customers in the relevant sector.Collaborate with European and Global commercial team colleagues to focus the global transport business and provide strategic input.Participate in the development of new products.Increase sales and net profitability of strategic customers and markets, developing relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams as part of the KAM approach.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement strategic sales and marketing measures to maintain and expand customer contacts and obtain Bus and Coach specifications.Establish and maintain deep-reaching contacts within customer key accounts across departments.Promote Altro’s products and services, protecting the brand.Establish new contacts with potential customers, including private and local government operators, and Bus Interior Designers.Develop sales of Value-Added Services across key customers.Target new customer acquisition, qualify incoming contacts, maintain existing contacts, and provide quality feedback.Conduct operational sales activities, including product presentations, preparing offers, and managing the sales process up to contract closure.Participate in trade fairs and sales events, and contribute to acquisition strategies.Observe market trends and generate ideas for growth.Analyze customer potential, margins, turnover, and profit.Support the Voice of the Customer initiative.Prepare detailed turnover and competitive analysis.Implement agreements with customers, agents, and distributors.Work within the pricing frameworks set by the Global Transport team.Manage customer projects and related orders collaboratively with internal teams.Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEEM Transport Business Manager.Note: In Italy, the role is limited to support functions such as sales support, policy and strategy creation; it does not include contract signing.What We're Looking ForExperience working within the Bus Industry in Italy is essential. The candidate should leverage industry contacts to make an immediate impact.
