Financial Controller – Italy

Reports to: CFO
Overview
On behalf of our client, a fast-growing private equity–backed business, we are seeking a high‑calibre Financial Controller to lead financial operations in Italy. The role suits a technically strong professional with a Big 4 background and proven experience in a PE or high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee accounting, reporting, and cash management.
Lead month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance (IFRS / Italian GAAP).
Prepare management reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
Maintain robust internal controls and support audit processes.
Partner with management and investors on financial strategy and performance.
Drive process improvement and support M&A and integration activity.

Requirements

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.) preferred.
Background in Big 4 audit or advisory.
Experience in a PE‑backed or high‑growth company.
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
Fluent in Italian and English.
Hands‑on, analytical, and commercially minded.
