One Mission Society has a vision of making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ and equipping them to be transformational in their spheres of influence. To accomplish this, the Bike Repair Technician, working within a Disciple-Making team, will model disciple-making practices with individuals and churches in their geographical area to foster a disciple-making movement.The bicycle technician will also repair bicycles at the Agape Bici bicycle shop and teach others how to repair bikes.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience with disciple-making processes is a plus.Skill RequirementsUnderstanding of spiritual disciplines and scriptural application.Ability to network well with partners.Constructive collaboration with team members in disciple-making, showing respect and valuing their contributions.Ability to learn the local language to an intermediate level.Coachable spirit.Professional presentation and enthusiastic engagement in tasks.Ability to incorporate Christ's compassion into all tasks.Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands.Ability to diagnose and repair bicycles independently.Customer interfacing skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a deepening relationship with Jesus through prayer, scripture reading, fasting, and other spiritual disciplines.Engage spiritually with your team through prayer, fasting, worship, accountability, and other practices.Utilize OMS-approved processes to evangelize non-believers and support others in growing as reproducing disciples.Collaborate with the Disciple-Making team to plan and execute disciple-making initiatives in churches and networks.Work with partners to start disciple-making groups, train leaders, and identify future local leaders.Prepare churches spiritually for partnership with Church Development to reach their communities.Contribute ideas for new strategies and training opportunities in disciple-making.Assist in planning conferences and trainings, and coordinate with stewardship teams.Identify and recommend new resources and processes for broad implementation.Participate in developing translation processes for materials.Maintain effective relationships with the Disciple-Making and Church Development teams.Support other OMS Country Team ministries as needed.Complete bicycle repairs for clients at Agape Bici.Repair donated bicycles for free distribution.Manage purchases and inventory of tools and parts.Willingness to learn the local language to an intermediate level.This is a support-based position requiring raising financial support from ministry partners for salary and expenses.About UsOne Mission Society is an interdenominational missions organization dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ worldwide.
