We are a team of highly-motivated, engaged, and responsive professionals who enable the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS.We are seeking a highly effective supply chain professional to manage one of our most complex commodities. In this role, the candidate will manage a semiconductor supply chain with multiple products in close collaboration with both internal and external cross functional teams to help enable AWS’s ISCaP team achieve continuity of supply and cost goals.The successful candidate must be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with high attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, program management experience, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, lead executive-level reviews, and communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings.The ideal candidate will not only raise the bar on delivering the right supply at the right time by deep diving into data, but is a person who actively participates with a strong curiosity to understand the business end-to-end, and has a track record of using data to influence decision makers.In this role, you will:Serve as a key member of the AWS Infrastructure supply chain team in helping to define and deliver complex supply chain strategies.Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics that drive key decisions and resource prioritization.Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal technical teams to guide the direction of activities that will impact our supply chain.Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to help shape solution design.Handle multiple projects at once, deal with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities.Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is hard-working, meticulous with high bias for action, who gets things done at an effective pace, gets results, and is comfortable working with tight deadlines and changing priorities.Key job responsibilitiesGlobal Supply Managers (GSMs) are responsible for maintaining continuity of supply for the categories and / or components they manage. They will develop clear action plans to drive global supply availability and execute on supply chain strategies. They will lead internal engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering, NPI, Logistics, Planning and Business organizations while engaging closely with suppliers on supply monitoring and status. They will manage supplier relationships and communication, track orders and inventory levels, process purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, coordinate material requirements with internal teams, maintain accurate procurement documentation, and lead cross-functional initiatives while ensuring timely delivery and quality standards across global operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and a proven ability to deliver measurable results in a fast-paced environment.A day in the lifeMaterial/inventory PlanningSupply/Demand planning / forecastingMaintaining continuity of supply (COS)Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and executive leadershipWorking with data and analytics (ability to view, edit, and extrapolate data in Excel or similar spreadsheet software)Working with suppliers/vendors, inventory warehousing teamsManaging electromechanical component supply chain (Power Supply Units, Inverters, batteries, racks, frames, mechanical accessories, chassis, fans, heatsinks etc.)Capacity planning (expanding new manufacturing lines)On a typical day, you will:Perform forecasting, demand analysis, material/inventory management, and manage supply buffersUnderstand manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments and reduce cycle timesWork with component suppliers and server manufacturers to analyze, reconcile allocation and monitor changes and cancellationsParticipate in requirements gatheringUnderstand the supply chain network and work with various analytics and software development teams, driving automationDevelop analytical tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and report findingsProduce written recommendations and insights to inform key stakeholders of supply chain health and help shape solution designYou will be responsible for:Forecast generation and demand planningAllocations of AWS material from inventory hubs to suppliersRequirement and Specification reviews with Hardware EngineeringOcean, air, and ground transportation planningSupply heatmap generationBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, Supply Chain, or other related quantitative disciplines.4+ years of relevant work experience in semiconductor manufacturing or electro-mechanical components, datacenter hardware components, or related field.4+ years of analytics experience including data mining.4+ years of professional experience in managing projects and products, supply chain, material planning and inventory management.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree Operations, Supply Chain, or related field, or MBA.Ability to think big, understand and drive business strategy.Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong leadership skills and ability to assume leadership role with cross-functional peers.Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Amazon values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if they don’t meet all the preferred qualifications.
