Vernay Italia is seeking for a highly motivated Automation Specialist for its location in Asti with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills to support and optimize the industrial automation systems within our production plants.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to technological innovation and will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities

Program and configure PLCs (Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff or equivalent), HMI, SCADA, and other industrial control systems.
Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Work with the maintenance team to diagnose and resolve faults in automated equipment.
Collaborate with external suppliers and system integrators.
Perform routine maintenance on assembly machines.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, using electrical/electronic diagnostic tools, precision instruments, and both manual and automatic equipment.
Execute wiring, disassembly, and assembly of components, devices, and mechanical or electrical assemblies.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

Degree in Automation, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 2–3 years of experience in similar roles within automated industrial environments.
Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and industrial systems.
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Familiarity with technical standards (CE marking, Machinery Directive, electrical safety).
Good command of technical English.
Strong teamwork, analytical, and goal-oriented skills.
