Purpose of the role
The role of Assistant Manager is an essential part of the store function. Connecting and engaging with the Zadig & Voltaire customers, supporting the day to day activities of their team and store, and leading the store & team performance towards success. You are a role model, attentive to details, reliable, full of energy, approachable, punctual with extensive knowledge of fashion and trends of the season and confident in engaging and styling clients. The Assistant Manager will welcome and assist customers throughout the entire sales process while supporting and coaching their team towards excellence, always focusing on delivering the highest customer experience. You are part of maximizing store targets, providing an optimal and personalized customer service while complying with the Zadig & Voltaire procedures and standards. You will support the store manager in building a store environment that nurtures creativity and employees development.

Be consistently present on the shop floor and available to meet customers’ needs

Be knowledgeable of the collection and the brand iconic pieces

Support the development of the team and store KPIs
Develop team skills and brand/product knowledge proactively
Adhere to organisational aspects to enable team success

Operations

Drive sales: proficient with till system, payments and fraudulent transactions
Follow company policy and procedures
Manage opening and closing procedures and maintain luxurious store environment and standards
Be proficient with all operational aspects and proactive to learn new processes
Manage loss prevention, perform inventories and communicate discrepancies
Ensure awareness of loss prevention procedures and communicate to the team
Maintain health and safety for the team and customers
Complete store administration (banking, cash handling, credit notes, exchanges, refunds, trackers)
Assist customers with exchanges and credit notes as needed
Encourage customers to join the mailing list
Oversee replenishment of bags, boxes, etc.
Coordinate stock transfers between stores and manage faulty items procedures with manager support
Answer calls promptly with a friendly and welcoming manner
Execute loss prevention procedures and conduct regular inventories
Be commercial in all activities
Manage deliveries, ensure replenishment and new collection processing according to ZV guidelines
Implement VM guidelines and train the team on VM standards
Adapt VM guides to the available space
Maintain impeccable shop floor and window standards
Know, use and communicate VM tools and guidelines to the team

Human resources

Support recruitment for the store with the manager
Train and develop the team with a development plan that emphasizes skills
Monitor training progress of new employees
Identify team members with growth potential and create development plans
Coach and motivate the team with skill targets
Create a positive and inclusive work atmosphere, motivate and recognize achievements
