We are looking for an AIT Technician to join our team and support the company's daily operations, focusing on assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of satellites, particularly small satellites.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) Technician to join our Space Laboratory in Settimo Torinese. As an aerospace technician, the candidate will become part of a collaborative team to perform AIT activities, including mechanical and electrical assembly, integration, wiring production, and facilitating performance testing at both the satellite component subsystem level and the system level.ResponsibilitiesPerform receipt inspection, preparation (kitting), assembly/installation of equipment/components for testing and/or flight configurationUnderstand technical documentation and work according to company procedures and technical drawingsPrepare, handle, apply, and dispose of chemicals such as thermal fillers, various types of epoxy resins, flammable liquids, etcProduce wiring such as cable assemblies for both terrestrial and space applicationsCalibrate and correctly use: dynamometric tools/crimping tools (mechanical and wiring) and required laboratory hardwareKeep integration areas (tools, toolboxes, workstations, etc.) clean and organized, adhering to company policyOperate manual tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, tweezers, scissors, etcUse machining tools/facilities for small fabrications, modifications, and reworkSoldering for cable assemblies and small PCB reworkAssist in the flight integration activities of the spacecraftAssess proposed designs for manufacturability and integration into subsystemsDevelop and refine manufacturing and assembly procedures based on lessons learned to mature processes.Provide support for in-house or third-party environmental testing campaigns (TVAC, vibration, acoustics, EMI/EMC, etc.) for company products at both subsystem and system levels.Assess proposed designs for manufacturability and integration into subsystemsPerform other tasks/responsibilities as assignedRequirementsExperience in a production environment with mechanical and electronic assembliesAbility to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions for flight module testingAerospace industry experience is preferred but not mandatoryProficiency with a variety of testing equipment, including power supplies, DC loads, DAQ, and test cablingDesired experience in one of the following areas:Cleanroom and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection workDetailed assembly and mounting workUnderstanding of technical documentationHandling of chemicals and hazardous materialsHandling and soldering of electrical componentsHarnessing methodsInspections of critical electronic/electrical/electromechanical hardwareMeticulous attention to detail and documentationTroubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical challengesStrong communication skills with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedbackFluent knowledge of English (oral and written) is requiredPossession of a valid driver's license (Category B)BenefitsA dynamic and stimulating work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Metalmeccanico (CCNL) with compensation based on experience and skills.SPACE INDUSTRIES is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in its workplace and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.Why Join Us?A unique opportunity for professional growth in a young and dynamic aerospace company.The chance to work on innovative projects with a global impact in the small satellite sector.A stimulating and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to contribute to shaping the company's future strategies
