Join to apply for the Advisory Associate, Italian Power Market role at Aurora Energy ResearchBased in Rome, you will be a senior member of the Italian analytical team, helping to deliver our advisory services for clients across the energy transition. You will manage junior colleagues in developing insights to help clients make better strategic and investment choices. You will support all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, synthesising conclusions into recommendations and presenting to key decision-makers in industry. You will develop data-based strategic insights into the energy transition for both public and private sector clients.Department: AdvisoryLocation: Rome, ItalySuccessful candidates will work in a dynamic, stimulating, and demanding yet supportive environment. The successful candidate will combine technical ability with a strong track record of leadership and dependable performance in team-oriented environments.We are looking for the candidate to begin the role in October 2025.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and carry out timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients’ decision makingWork closely with our modelling team, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model resultsMonitor the latest policy and market developmentsEngage with clients to thoroughly understand their interests and gain new insightsCommunicate findings to clients in workshops and conferences, turning analysis to insight by creating compelling presentationsContribute to our product development by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilitiesWhat we are looking forRequired attributes:Minimum 2 years of experience at major consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institutionMaster’s degree in a quantitative subject (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance)Demonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environmentsProven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and informationAbility to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded peopleSelf-starting, entrepreneurial mind-set, and desire to grow the businessProficiency (C1 level) in English and ItalianBeneficial attributes:Previous experience of working on energy-related projects or policyLeadership, management or mentoring experience demonstrated by previous roles of professional responsibility or extracurricular activitiesDemonstrated success in working together with clientsCompetence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)Strong academic record, such as a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant disciplineKnowledge of the Italian power marketsWhat we offerMeal vouchersPrivate medical insuranceCommuting allowanceEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)At AER, we are committed to offering flexibility in the way we work.
